Life - expect the more

Sometimes it seems like I have such high standards, for everything in my life. But i really feel that if you don’t expect the very best in every situation, then you are just settling for less than the life that you were created to live. Sometimes I expect to much from people, but I can’t help but see the good in someone even when they can’t see or feel anything positive at all. Sometimes I expect too great of an outcome from a situation, but if you strive for little that is all you will ever get.

I dream about a life that is bursting with love, and joy. A home that is comfortable, and mine. A career that I am passionate about and great at. Friends that are compassionate and trustworthy. A man who is honest and knows me inside and out on a level that others can’t comprehend. Faith that is real and knows no bounds. A family that is supportive and intimate. A world that is better because in some small way I make a difference, even if it’s just to one person at a time.

I think this is what life really is, and so much more, if we have the courage to see it that way, and the patience to fight hard for it. Fight for the life that you were born to live.
